Just Peachy

This is a long time coming.

Today I've officially completed my internet spring cleaning, which mainly consisted of consolidating my numerous internet "identities" into one that felt most appropriate for me and my personality. (This includes a brand new Twitter handle!) While I loved People Just Float as a title, it didn't quite work for me once I started to expand my writing interests on the blog and branch out into other social media networks.

It's been about a year or so since the "sleepy peach" concept took root and it's gradually grown into something that feels comfortable and right for me.

However, I want to avoid getting too literal with the peach idea, despite my scrumptious photo posted above. There are a lot of things that the new title elicits for me, such as food, feelings, color, seasons, plants, andespeciallythe beauty of certain words when placed together.

Don't worry. I promise: no poetry. I actually like you.

Hopefully you all like the new blog title as much as I do (or, at the very least, don't care). If you hate it, well, you can tell meI won't mind. (Unless you're my sister. She can keep her know-it-all comments to herself.)

Just in time to say goodbye to spring blossoms and with a fervent wish for the arrival of summer fruits, I'm happy to present my new personal space on the interwebs... which will likely feel very much the same.

  1. Stace, I think this suits you perfectly. I always loved People Just Float, but like you said, The Sleepy Peach and feelings/colors/unique beauty associated just evokes... Stacy.

An exciting fresh start - I can't wait to see where it takes you :)

  2. True, I hesitated at the thought of your changing your blog title, but you're right, I do think it was time for a change. And I also think this will inspire you to write more posts, which is really what I want, anyways.

This name sounds perfect for your writing style and the topics you cover (not to mention, the ones we enjoy reading!) Congrats on the new blog-you!

  3. I third that! GREAT name. I have been wanting to change mine pretty much since I adopted it, and I have never been able to come up with something cute but not dumb, evocative but not over-dramatic, and of course, original. And a blog by nature is something that you yourself should feel totally happy with, no matter how often it needs to change. Hmm.. I think there's a metaphor in there somewhere. Can't wait to see more!
